And you, what do you think?

Introduction of the survey

How many times have you been ashamed? Have you ever heard of harassment and shame on social networks? Do you find it normal to receive hatred from strangers? When we created this blog, we wanted to know how people felt. If they had ever felt ashamed on social networks or not. But mostly to know how they use their network and how they use it. That's why we carried out this survey which allowed us to gather all the information we needed to inform ourselves and then inform others.

We decided to do a survey, because not only have we just learned in Marketing how to do a survey correctly so practice our course and that doing interviews by videoconference is not very easy. We would have liked to have made a micro-pavement.

Our questions are based on experience, to estimate the wickedness that we find on social networks.

We have about twenty questions, with two categories. Indeed we start with some questions about the person and then we asked questions about our subject.

Our questions are generally formulated so that the answer is yes or no because it is much easier to make a conclusion and summarize the answers.

The only multiple choice questions lets us know which applications our targets use the most.

We used questions with a short answer to supplement the previous questions.

What tools did we use to create and distribute our survey?

We use microsoft forms, for create our survey, because is more easier to distribute. In fact we can relate the link and the web site work very well.

Moreover, he is the best known of all. People are used to using it. We then sent our link to our friends and families at first. Then in a second time, we share the link on social networks.

We used the microsoft forms platform to create our survey. We used our social networks to share our survey.

How many people responded?

At this time, 43 peoples have responded to our survey.

What were the results?

We noticed that women responded more than men.

Furthermore, they are mostly between 19 and 35 years old. This one has 92% a social network and the one at the top of the list is Instagram! Next comes youtube snapchat and twitter on the podium, following WhatsApp facebook and finally LinkedIn.

38% of them publish on social networks from time to time.

If this survey is to be believed 92% say they are aware of the risks of creating a social network.

regarding their sensitivity to criticism 41% are. against 26% no. and maybe 33%.

for them they are not more or less extroverted.

44% think they have already been ashamed on social networks. but 85% have fortunately not been reached with rumors

Where the results what you expected or were there any surprises?

We are surprised of course, but we know deep down that the survey is not really objective. in view of the number of people who responded, we cannot really get reliable answers. however, one can get an idea at least of the potential answers when we sometimes see the huge gap that there can be.

We thought that many people would tell us that they were being bullied or harassed. which fortunately was not the case. but we can't help but wonder: what if he just didn't realize it?

It's an option we have to take into consideration.

To conclude, this survey showed us that the people who answered it are well aware about social medias  dangers and know how to use them and use them frequently. And this is not really a surprise knowing how connected people these days are.

What wasn’t a surprise for us was also the fact that Instagram youtube and Snapchat were on the podium.

The fact people choose Twitter as a harmful social network is not really surprising. We know that twitter is well known for the numerous drama it causes and how people get

harassed almost everyday on this social media.

But what is more surprising is that even if Twitter is a toxic social media that ruins a lot of lives it’s still one of the most used social medias.

The survey confirmed us that people know how social medias work and the goods and bad points of them. It’s interesting to see how people can be admirative for someone because they have the courage to assume who they are. It’s surprising because when we admire someone we sometimes say to ourselves « I could’ve never been able to do that » and can kind of feel ashamed of ourselves.

However a lot of people answered saying they have never been a victim of malicious comments or rumors that made them feel ashamed.

We can think that the fact they were ashamed of themselves protected them in a way. But in an other hand those people who never felt harassed never realized it and live in the lie of social medias.
