How to Fight Shame?

The feeling of shame is present in all of us without exception. This feeling appears when we are clumsy in front of people, when we belittle ourselves or when we make a joke which, unfortunately, only make you laugh. But if this joke makes you laugh, it’s already a good start. It may be that another person like you, appreciated it but did not dare to laugh.

Fighting shame is also fighting shyness. Which means making self-control and analyzing who we are. Because those who are ashamed do not recognize themselves in their fair value. Each person is unique and must accept himself as he is, with his own values, his own style, his personality. Our life is too short to care about people who criticize you. If they criticize you it is because he does not know you as you know yourself.

Beating your shyness is an all-time battle. Some people will say that you are born with shyness while others will say that you become shy. Who is right? Who is wrong? It’s up to you. If you think shyness appears in your lifetime, ask yourself: Why?

However, shame is less complex than shyness, so don’t worry you can do it!

If you have to speak in public, it is important that you are yourself. To be yourself is to accept who we are, and it can go through the style of dress, the haircut or anything else that represents your personality. Your appearance is the first thing the public will see. But don't worry, looks can be deceiving!
